What does extracting PDF pages mean?
Extracting pages means copying a chosen subset of pages out of an existing PDF into a new document, leaving the original file untouched. Nothing is re-encoded: the selected pages keep their original text layer, fonts, vector graphics and images, so the new file looks and prints exactly like the pages you started from. It is the opposite of deleting pages — instead of removing what you do not want, you keep only what you do.
When extracting pages is useful
Long PDFs are rarely read end to end. Extraction is the quickest way to share just the relevant part of one:
- Sending one signed page of a contract instead of the whole agreement.
- Pulling a single invoice out of a monthly statement bundle.
- Saving one chapter of a scanned book or manual for offline reading.
- Keeping the two pages of a bank statement a landlord or agency asked for.
- Handing a designer only the pages of a report that need new artwork.
- Trimming a slide deck export down to the slides you actually present.
How to extract pages from a PDF
- Drag your PDF onto the box above, or click Select PDF and pick a file.
- Check the page count shown under the file name.
- Type the pages you need. Single pages and ranges can be mixed and separated by commas:
2, 5, 8-10. - Click Split PDF.
- Download each result, or use Download all (ZIP) when your selection produced several files.
Each comma-separated entry becomes its own PDF. A selection of 2, 5, 8-10 gives you page-2.pdf, page-5.pdf and pages-8-10.pdf. If you would rather cut the document into consecutive blocks, use splitting by page range, and if you want every page as its own file there is a one-click option for that too.
Privacy
The extractor runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your PDF is never uploaded, so confidential contracts, medical records and financial statements stay on your own device. Closing the tab discards everything that was in memory.
